👈 Official Responses: 0) launched its managed spam filtering service yesterday. Powered by Postini, Inc. (postini.com) e-mail security technology, NaviSite's spam filtering service blocks unwanted or inappropriate e-mail and e-mail viruses from customer networks and inboxes.

According to the company, outsourcing with NaviSite will enable customers to reduce the difficulties of implementing and maintaining spam filtering software on their in-house servers and help regulate IT costs.
"The cost of spam is widely recognized. However, implementing a spam filtering solution that provides effective protection can be a challenge," said Denis Martin, senior vice-president of products and services at NaviSite. "With our service, messages are filtered before they reach our customers' networks. They do not have to pay to transport and store the messages, and their users can be more productive because their inboxes aren't filled with junk mail."
In conjunction with the announcement, the company unveiled a limited-time introductory special on its managed spam filtering solutions. Customers signing up for one year of managed spam filtering by October 31, 2003 will receive a 25 percent discount on service fees and be exempt from paying setup charges.
