📅 August 18, 2003 - uplinkearth (uplinkearth.com -> hostinger.com) announced last week the implementation of Windows 2003 .NET Server for their virtual server hosting solutions.

"As part of our commitment to provide our customers with the best possible service along with the most advanced development tools available we are implementing Microsoft Windows 2003 aggressively," said Charles LaPadula, CIO at uplinkearth. "Since mid-July all new virtual hosting accounts have been being setup on one of our new Dual Pentium IV Xeon Web servers running MS Windows 2003 to maximize their sites performance and reliability. All existing Web servers are being migrated to Windows 2003 starting in September."
According to the company, there will be no corresponding increase in price.
Hosting plans will be priced from $4.95 per month and include free MS Access, Cold Fusion 5, Cold Fusion MX, ASP, .NET, PHP & PERL support, IIS 6.0, free Webmail and a 30-day money back guarantee.
