😞 Terremark is another Verizon joke
I have used hosting providers for 15 years. Hostway... Rackspace... AWS... Linode... and a handful of small local boutique colos. Without a doubt Terremark is the WORST provider I've ever used. They failed to deliver sales commitments, the support is atrocious, and the service itself is very buggy and a nightmare to work with. I could write a book on how much time and money my company has burnt through dealing with this turd of a service. The only good thing about my experience with them is that they have solidified my understanding of what NOT to do to a customer. I honestly cannot think of one thing with them that was an overall positive or impressive endeavor. They endlessly promise on "features available soon" and "we're making big backend improvements" but it's all BS. Their sales staff overcommit and there is a gap between technical teams and the business leaders. Don't waste your time with a nameless/faceless company like Verizon. 😠 Lies, Incompetence, Stupidity
Project to build a clients Datacenter in Terremark space.
Terremark terms not spelled out in agreement, refused to integrate a specific vendor's gear to attached to their cloud services. The suprise result was we took a hit in restocking fees, and our client had to swallow another $20K charge to purchase gear they found acceptable. Extensive research and documentation provided to them supporting vendor interoperability. No use, attempting to reason with
them on an engineering level was a complete waste of time. Idiot, non technical Terremark PM treated
our team as if we were stupid and expected us to be mindreaders...
Thier so called engineering staff are completely clueless when it comes to industry standards such as etherchannel and load balanced 802.1d STP and interior routing solutions. They were puzzled by the request, had to 'get back to us' and when they did attempted to fleece our client again by sending us an astronomical quote. Needless to say when our [read more...]
