Asia Global Crossing Connects International IP Services Backbone
📅 - Telecommunications and IP services provider Asia Global Crossing (asiaglobalcrossing.com) announced on Thursday that it had activated its 310 Mbps international IP services backbone between Hong Kong and Japan through its East Asia Crossing.
The new connection extends the Global Crossing and Asia Global Crossing worldwide IP services platform to Hong Kong, and will enable seamless data transfer between Europe, the United States, Japan and Hong Kong.
According to Asia Global Crossing, the IP services backbone within East Asia Crossing, combined with Asia Global Crossing's Pacific Crossing, establishes the fastest direct link between Hong Kong, Japan and the United States. The IP backbone is designed to give carrier, ISP and corporate customers the fastest platform for IP Transit, International Private Line Circuts, IP Virtual Private Networks and Voice over IP.
As the company continues to expand its East Asia Crossing, it plans to connect Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and China, as regulations permit.
Asia Global Crossing says its IP services backbone can be upgraded as the demand requires. The backbone across the company's Pacific Crossing has been upgraded to 2.5 Gbps. The company calls it the fastest trans-Pacific services backbone in service today.
