📅 October 9, 2006 - The Web Host Industry Review (thewhir.com), the Web hosting industry's publication of record, announced on Monday, October 9, 2006, that it has launched WHIR blogs (thewhir.com/blogs), a new publishing channel within its already extensive set of online properties.

Produced by a community of Web hosting experts, WHIR blogs delivers insight and knowledge in a candid, immediate and interactive format. Readers can post comments, offer suggestions and get involved in the blogs that cover the subjects of personal interest to them.

"Obviously we're not the first publication to start blogging," says Liam Eagle, editor of the Web Host Industry Review. "Nor is this the first blog about Web hosting. But I'm very certain that this is going to be a uniquely interactive and dynamic way for readers to experience Web hosting ideas. I expect WHIR blogs readers are going to be as much a part of this community as our excellent group of bloggers."

The WHIR blogs section will feature regular entries from six Web hosting experts - Liam Eagle, Isabel Wang, David Snead, Paul Stapleton, Thomas Strohe and Paul Hirsch - each providing a unique perspective on the trends and technology in the hosting business.

Liam EagleAs the editor of the Web Host Industry Review, Liam Eagle has the advantage of an industry-wide perspective. Through his WHIR blog, he spots Web hosting trends and offers opinions on the industry-wide impacts of major developments and the motivation behind big announcements.

Isabel WangOne of the Web hosting industry's longest-standing citizens, Isabel Wang is also a high-tech enthusiast. Through her WHIR blog, she examines the impact emerging Web technologies will have on the Web hosting business, and on the motivations of hosting consumers.

David SneadA long-time WHIR contributor, David Snead is the Web hosting business's best-known legal expert. Through his WHIR blog, he offers a credible legal perspective on both specific actions in the Web hosting business and general developments in legislation.

Paul StapletonAs managing director of DH Captial, Paul Stapleton brings a finance perspective to the Web hosting business.
