Oct 17, 2006 : AlertSite Launches DejaClick Tool

📅 - Web performance measurement provider AlertSite (alertsite.com) announced on Monday it has launched DejaClick (dejaclick.com), a transaction recording and playback tool. DejaClick uses what AlertSite calls TrueUser monitoring, which captures the Web page content from the perspective of the desktop user.

The company says DejaClick reduces the workload on online businesses by automating the scripting process used to monitor the performance of Web transactions. Customers can record and monitor transactions almost immediately, enabling them to discover and react to problems faster, minimizing problems and downtime. Other recording devices typically require hand coding and testing, delaying monitoring by a day or more.

"The increasing complexity of Internet applications requires a new category of performance and availability monitoring services that provides thorough and accurate notification of a site malfunction or outage," says Ken Gross, president and CEO of AlertSite. "DejaClick greatly enhances our current portfolio of Web performance monitoring services by offering a faster, simpler and more convenient way to help our customers ensure their critical business transactions are always available and running at peak performance."

DejaClick also offers a one-click Internet navigation tool for individual users, which acts as an extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser. This "super bookmark" enables users to go directly to sites with password access or multi-page navigation paths, such as email inboxes or package-tracking screens.
