Oct 17, 2006 : CourseMax Deploys at BTP Data Center
📅 - Data center provider Baltimore Technology Park (baltimoretechnologypark.com) announced on Monday that outsource training software provider CourseMax (coursemax.com) has selected BTP to host the IT infrastructure for its service.
CourseMax says its student portal and business management solution for training firms automates the supply chain, enabling training companies to offer online student course selection and registration, as well as help them to better manage their classrooms, equipment, instructor resources and attendance levels.
CourseMax CRM provides an automated business development and customer relationship management solution that helps training firms fill classes and improve profitability.
The company recently expanded from three to more than 50 training center clients, significantly increasing the volume of transactions its system handles. As a result, CourseMax found a need for a data center with sufficient power and secure space to keep expanding its IT infrastructure and bandwidth at a reasonable cost.
"BTP has invested heavily to build out a highly secure and reliable data center, and with their economy of scale they can offer the services we need at a palatable price point," says Dan Blake, president and CEO of CourseMax. "There's no way we could have economically built our own data center with diesel generators, HVAC, uninterrupted power, bandwidth supplies and tier-1 connections on our own. And, because we're moving our headquarters from Florida to Baltimore, we want a data center that is close by and accessible."
