📅 - Messaging security provider Cloudmark Authority (cloudmark.com) announced on Friday it has been selected by Australian Web hosting provider Melbourne IT (melbourneit.com.au) to protect its email subscribers from messaging abuse.
Melbourne IT says that since deploying Cloudmark Authority through its WebCentral (webcentral.com.au) hosting brand, the amount of email-borne threats seeping into its customer inboxes has significantly decreased. The company adds that deploying Cloudmark Authority has helped improve its overall system performance while reducing infrastructure and operational costs.
"We are committed to protecting our customers by using the best technology available and found that the high level of accuracy of Cloudmark Authority best met our needs and simultaneously helped us to optimize our infrastructure utilization," says Michael West, messaging product manager of WebCentral. With the growing number of email threats in Australia, Melbourne IT says it researched several options and conducted a proof-of-concept trial with Cloudmark Authority. The test revealed that Cloudmark delivered considerable improvements in the company's message processing performance, cutting hardware requirements by up to 80 percent.
In addition to significant hardware cost savings, Cloudmark's smaller infrastructure footprint has also reduced Melbourne IT's data center space and power consumption. Melbourne IT
