Jul, 2002 : WorldTeq Targets Hispanic Market With Unica Guia

📅 July 18, 2002 - Telecommunications and hosting service provider WorldTeq Group International Inc. (worldteqgroup.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed a new agent contract with privately held Unica Guia LLC (unicaguia.com), the creator of one of the few Internet resources for the Hispanic marketplace.

"Over the coming weeks we will be launching a Spanish version of our internet access, small business services, specialized Debit card, and hosting services," says Bruce Bertman, President and CEO of WorldTeq Group International. "Unica Guia has built a solid reputation in the marketplace and adding our products will give us exposure to a very large audience. The website receives a tremendous amount of traffic each day."
Unica Guia says Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic group in the US in Internet usage. The company is confident that by working with WorldTeq, it can contribute to that growth.
The company says the US Hispanic population is over 35 million, and growing, with a buying power of over $400 billion. Unica Guia says its goal is to be the source turned to by the market expected to make up one quarter of the American population by 2005.
