Jul, 2002 : Bibit, Aqueduct Partner for E-Commerce Platform

📅 July 17, 2002 - Payment service provider Bibit Global Payment Services (bibit.com) and online commerce infrastructure provider Aqueduct Inc. (aqueduct.com) announced on Tuesday that they have formed a partnership designed to allow companies to implement an online commerce platform that will support international business in countries outside the United States.

The integration of Aqueduct's multi-channel online commerce and fulfillment platform and Bibit's global payment services, say the companies, provides a comprehensive commerce enablement capability.
"Bibit's partnership with Aqueduct bridges the gap between local e-commerce solutions and global customers," said Joost Schuijff, CEO of Bibit. "Rather than building a generic e-commerce solution that considers global reach as an afterthought, companies now have the benefit of deploying an integrated global e-commerce platform designed from the beginning to reach and support customers on a worldwide basis."
The combined solution provides localized storefront, order management, payments, fulfillment and customer service capabilities, say the companies. The hosted solution can be implemented quickly without a large investment in software, hardware, personnel or infrastructure.
