Jul, 2002 : Infonet Extends Service Continuity Program

📅 - Partly in response to the uncertainty surrounding the global telecommunications business, communications service provider Infonet Services Corporation (infonet.com) said on Thursday that it will expand its Service Continuity Program.

Infonet says it has been offering the migration opportunities to the IP VPN clients of bankrupt carrier KPNQwest since June. The company is now expanding the Continuity program to offer Infonet's full suite of global networking services to corporations that may have been affected by other recent developments in telecommunications.
According to Infonet, the company offers a non-disruptive transition method, designed to maintain a client's business operation during the service migration.
"The diversity strategy Infonet adopted decades ago has resulted in a stable and unparalleled global network, built upon the strongest suppliers in every country and continent we operate," says Jose Collazo, chairman, president and CEO of Infonet. "This protects our network against the possibility of significant outages or service lapses, meaning clients can gain greater peace of mind with our service offerings. We have significant experience in transitioning large-scale client networks to The World Network, and I am confident that our systems are ready to handle the increased demand we're seeing for Infonet's services."
