Jul, 2002 : F5 Networks Supports Internet Exhibition

📅 - Internet traffic management company F5 Networks Inc. (F5.com -> hostinger.com) announced this week that its technology played an important role in supporting the ShowNet network at Networld+Interop 2002 Tokyo.

Providing a smooth Internet access environment at the show, says F5, the ShowNet backbone was supported by a 10 Gigabit Ethernet along with a dual-stack networking environment built on both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
F5 networks says it successfully responded to ShowNet's three major requirements, including IDS load balancing, streaming CDN and firewall load balancing, with its BIG-IP local area traffic manager and 3-DNS wide area traffic manager.
"ShowNet is a broadband network providing smooth Internet access for exhibitors' booths as well as conference halls at the Interop tradeshow," said Takashi Sato, Senior Manager of Production and Operations at the Key3 Media Event. "Every year we provide reliable broadband access using stateof the art technology and this year for the first time we were able to showcase F5's high availability traffic management products, BIG-IP and 3-DNS. Deploying firewall and IDS load balancing at the SOC and demonstrating streaming CDN using 3-DNS, we were able to make a broad appeal to visitors and add value to the ShowNet."
