Sep, 2003 : Apollo Hosting Launches Budget Division, Infinity

📅 September 5, 2003 - Apollo Hosting, Inc. (apollohosting.com -> verio.com), an Austin, Texas-based Web hosting provider, announced today the launch of Infinity Host (infinityhost.com -> ionos.com), a new division that will target the lower end of the Web hosting market.

"We remain proud of all Apollo Hosting offers, but realized there will always be a segment of hosting consumers who simply won?t pay $19.95 a month, even if the product is of very high quality," said Tamara Field, president of Apollo Hosting. "With Infinity, we hope to provide these individuals with the same quality support and reliability with prices as low as $6.95 a month."
Infinity will run in a virtual private server (VPS) environment and its hosting packages will include e-commerce capabilities, spam and virus filtering, and an online Web site builder with 1000 customizable templates.
Apollo Hosting has been in business since 1999.
