my.host is a Dutch web hosting and cloud provider founded in 2016 and operated by mijn.host B.V. from Amsterdam. Founder Marijn Vlug developed the business around straightforward hosting, modern infrastructure, competitive pricing and an internally developed management platform. The company remains privately held and independent, without an external hosting group controlling the business.

The my.host brand is the international extension of the established Dutch mijn.host operation. The English-language my.host service launched on August 6, 2026, expanding the business beyond its original Dutch market. Localization is available in English, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, while pricing is adapted to the target market with EUR, DKK, NOK and SEK currencies.

The product range covers Domain Registration, Shared Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, AI Website Builder, Email Hosting, Microsoft 365, Managed VPS, Unmanaged VPS, Public Cloud, Dedicated Servers and SSL Certificates. This makes my.host suitable for anything from a small website or mailbox to larger virtual-server and cloud deployments.

Standard Web Hosting uses NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise and Redis caching. Packages include unlimited traffic, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, email, MySQL databases, DNS management, multiple PHP versions, (S)FTP, SSH, Node.js, Python, cron jobs, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3, a web application firewall and daily backups. Starter provides 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM and 5 GB NVMe storage, while the larger Basic, Advance and Ultimate packages progressively increase resources. Ultimate reaches 16 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM and 100 GB NVMe storage. A limited free website migration service is included from Basic upward.

WordPress Hosting uses the same NVMe-based platform with additional WordPress functionality, including one-click installation, automatic WordPress updates, LiteSpeed and Redis caching, staging, daily backups and QUIC.cloud CDN integration. Each WordPress package includes 10 GB of QUIC.cloud CDN traffic per month. WP Start provides 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM, 5 GB NVMe storage and support for one website. WP Basic increases this to 6 cores, 6 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe and five websites, while WP Expert supports ten websites with 12 CPU cores, 12 GB RAM and 100 GB NVMe. Free assisted migrations start with WP Basic.

Reseller Hosting uses DirectAdmin and gives hosting companies, developers and agencies separate customer environments. Professional includes 25 GB NVMe storage and support for as many as 50 users, while domains, mailboxes and MySQL databases are unlimited. Enterprise increases storage to 100 GB and supports 100 users, together with a fully white-label environment, white-label domain registration and custom nameservers. Premium provides 150 GB NVMe storage, as many as 150 users, 4 CPU cores and 4 GB RAM per account, priority support, Web Terminal, Git Manager, automated IMAP importing and automated cPanel migration. Additional IP addresses are available for €2.50 per month.

The AI Website Builder is based on WordPress, so customers are not locked into a closed proprietary website platform. Websites can be generated with AI and tested for 14 days before payment. The service includes drag-and-drop editing, templates, unlimited pages and blog posts, automatic image selection, an AI writing assistant and an AI Blog Generator. The Pro package adds e-commerce functionality with unlimited products and online payments. Hosting, email, SSL, HTTP/3, daily backups and security functions are integrated into the service.

Email Hosting can be ordered independently from website hosting. Personal includes 2 GB NVMe storage and two mailboxes, Business includes 10 GB and ten mailboxes, while Enterprise includes 50 GB and 50 mailboxes. Webmail, IMAP, POP, calendars, contacts, aliases, daily backups and SpamExperts filtering are included. Free email migration is available with Business and Enterprise.

For companies using Microsoft's ecosystem, Microsoft 365 subscriptions include Apps for Business, Business Basic and Business Standard, together with Exchange Online options. Depending on the chosen license, customers receive Microsoft Office applications, 1 TB of OneDrive storage, Teams, Copilot functionality and Exchange mailboxes ranging from 2 GB to 100 GB.

The VPS range is available in both managed and unmanaged configurations and uses AMD EPYC processors with NVMe storage. Unmanaged VPS customers receive root or SSH access, DDoS protection, browser terminal access, API integration, snapshots and backups. Configurations range from 1 CPU core, 2 GB RAM and 10 GB NVMe storage to much larger servers with as many as 32 cores, 120 GB RAM and 800 GB NVMe. Network connectivity reaches up to 10 Gbps on selected configurations, while 1 Gbps is the standard specification.

Managed VPS packages add system updates, security patching, optimization, security hardening, monitoring and priority technical assistance. They also include commercial software such as DirectAdmin, CloudLinux, Imunify360, JetBackup with backup storage, Softaculous and LiteSpeed. Depending on the configuration, VPS customers can also use Plesk or cPanel. A broad selection of Linux distributions and Windows Server editions is available.

The Dedicated Server catalog ranges from economical Intel Xeon systems to modern AMD EPYC servers and high-performance hardware with NVIDIA H100 GPUs. HDD, SSD and NVMe storage configurations are available, with deployments in the Netherlands and France. Features include DDoS mitigation, IPv6, KVM-over-IP, rescue mode, automated operating-system reinstallation and support for virtualization platforms such as Proxmox and VMware ESXi. RAID is available with many configurations, while additional failover IP addresses cost €2.50 per month.

Dedicated servers are self-managed and support operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Fedora, FreeBSD and Arch Linux, together with Proxmox and VMware ESXi. DirectAdmin and Plesk can be added for web-hosting workloads, alongside software such as LiteSpeed, CloudLinux and Imunify360.

The Public Cloud is a flexible IaaS environment built around Apache CloudStack. It includes virtual machines, private networks, VPCs, firewall management, load balancing and NVMe block storage. Ceph provides redundant storage, while High Availability is included for the underlying infrastructure. Cloud resources can be controlled through the graphical interface, API or CLI, and customers can upload their own operating-system images. New Public Cloud accounts currently receive €200 in cloud credit.

Domain Registration includes DNS management, forwarding and management through the same customer platform and API. mijn.host is a direct registrar with SIDN for .nl, DNS Belgium for .be and Internetstiftelsen for .se and .nu. Transfers, DNS changes, nameserver management, registrant changes and DNSSEC are supported according to the individual domain extension.

Free Let's Encrypt certificates cover the normal SSL requirements of hosting customers. Commercial Sectigo SSL Certificates are also available, including single-domain, wildcard and extended-validation business certificates.

A major practical advantage is the internally developed customer platform. Domains, hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, invoices, support, backups and server-management functions can all be handled from the same environment rather than through a generic third-party billing interface.

💰 Price & Cost

Pricing is competitive at the entry level, although introductory discounts are followed by the normal renewal price. English-language pricing is primarily shown in EUR, normally excluding 21% VAT.

Shared Web Hosting starts at €1.99/month for Starter during the initial promotional period, compared with the normal €3.99 price. Basic starts at €3.99 instead of €7.99, Advance at €7.99 instead of €12.99 and Ultimate at €9.99 instead of €16.99. These introductory hosting prices apply for the first 12 months.

WordPress hosting follows a similar structure. WP Start begins at €1.99/month, WP Basic at €4.99 and WP Expert at €9.99 under the introductory pricing. Reseller Professional starts at €9.99/month, Enterprise at €14.99 and Premium at €29.99.

The AI Website Builder starts at €3.99/month for Start instead of the normal €7.99, while Pro begins at €7.99 instead of €15.99. Separate Email Hosting starts at €0.99/month for Personal, €2.99 for Business and €4.99 for Enterprise during the initial promotional period.

VPS discounts generally apply for a shorter introductory period of three months. The smallest unmanaged VPS provides 1 CPU core, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB NVMe storage and 1 TB of traffic. Managed VPS plans cost considerably more because system administration and several commercial hosting licenses are included.

Dedicated servers currently start at around €69.99/month, with pricing increasing according to processor, memory, storage, bandwidth and GPU requirements.

Public Cloud resources use consumption-based billing, generally calculated hourly with a monthly ceiling based on 730 hours. General-purpose instances begin around €9.99 per month, while new accounts receive €200 of Public Cloud credit.

Domain costs depend on the extension, with registration, renewal and transfer prices listed separately. DNS management and forwarding are included. Commercial Sectigo SSL certificates start at €14.99 per year, while Let's Encrypt remains free with normal hosting packages.

Web Hosting and Email Hosting include a 14-day money-back guarantee, with eligible payments returned within 48 hours. Reseller Hosting also includes a 14-day money-back period. Domain registrations are excluded once the requested registration has been completed.

Payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Revolut Pay, Pay by Bank, iDEAL/Wero and Bancontact. Bank-account and IBAN-based payment handling is also supported.

🏢 Data Center

Shared hosting infrastructure is located in the Equinix AM6 data center in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The platform uses modern HP Gen10 hardware and benefits from the facility's strong power, cooling and connectivity infrastructure. Equinix AM6 operates with renewable-energy guarantees of origin and incorporates energy-efficiency measures including heat and cold storage.

The Public Cloud is also located in Amsterdam, using Equinix AM6 / AMS-06 infrastructure. Cloud storage is based on Ceph, with redundancy and High Availability built into the platform.

Standard Web Hosting has a 99.9% uptime guarantee. If availability falls below that level, one month of hosting is provided free. Email Hosting carries the same 99.9% uptime guarantee and compensation model.

The Public Cloud has a stronger 99.99% uptime guarantee, also backed by one month of free service when the guaranteed level is not achieved.

Backups are physically separated from the main hosting environment. Shared hosting backups are created every night and stored on an external server in another European data center. VPS backups are likewise kept in a separate European facility.

Dedicated server infrastructure extends across the Netherlands and France, with facilities identified by codes including AMS1, DC2, DC3 and DC5 depending on the selected hardware. Infrastructure partners include Worldstream in the Netherlands and Voxility in Europe. Dedicated backup capacity also uses European providers including Leaseweb, Hostcircle and Oneprovider.

DDoS protection is included with VPS and dedicated-server services. Other security measures include IPv6 support, network segmentation, firewalls, hardened server configurations, TLS and STARTTLS, DNSSEC, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, SIEM and IDS monitoring, MFA, least-privilege account access, separated backup storage and integrity controls.

Conventional hosting runs on 100% renewable energy. The business also participates in reforestation initiatives and supports the planting and protection of trees as part of its environmental program.

✍️ Customer Support

Customer support is available seven days a week. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 and Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.

Support is primarily handled through tickets in the customer control panel and the online contact system. Typical ticket response times are around one to two hours during working days, while contact requests are normally handled within 12 hours.

Network monitoring operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with outage assistance available outside normal office hours. A dedicated status system is also available for active service incidents.

The knowledge base covers hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, email configuration, WordPress, DirectAdmin, migrations, VPS administration, Public Cloud, Microsoft 365 and the AI Website Builder.

Free assisted migrations are included from Web Hosting Basic, WP Basic, Reseller Professional and Email Business upward, subject to the applicable limits and a migration request being submitted within 30 days of ordering.

🔨 Control Panel

my.host uses an internally developed customer control panel that has been part of the service since the company's early years. A substantially redesigned generation of the interface was introduced in March 2022, with support for desktop and mobile access together with two-factor authentication.

The platform provides centralized management for domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, hosting subscriptions, invoices, support tickets, account users, service upgrades, backups and server products.

Dedicated server customers can reinstall operating systems, access KVM-over-IP and activate rescue mode directly from the management environment without requiring manual intervention for routine server operations.

DirectAdmin is widely used for the actual hosting environment. Reseller Hosting includes DirectAdmin and creates separate hosting environments for individual reseller customers.

VPS customers can use DirectAdmin, Plesk or cPanel depending on the selected configuration. Managed VPS packages bundle DirectAdmin together with CloudLinux, Imunify360, JetBackup, Softaculous and LiteSpeed.

Dedicated servers can also be configured with DirectAdmin or Plesk, while hardware and operating-system management remains available through the my.host platform.

Public Cloud services are managed through Apache CloudStack, with graphical management as well as API and CLI access.

🎯 Conclusion

my.host has grown into a broad European hosting provider with services extending far beyond conventional shared hosting. The combination of NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise, Redis caching, daily external backups, European infrastructure and a proprietary management platform gives the hosting range a strong technical foundation.

The portfolio scales well between customer types. A small website can begin on inexpensive shared or WordPress hosting, while growing businesses can move toward reseller hosting, VPS infrastructure, dedicated servers or the Public Cloud without changing providers. Domains, independent email hosting, Microsoft 365 and commercial SSL certificates make the platform suitable for customers who prefer to consolidate several Internet services under one account.

The 99.9% uptime guarantee for standard hosting, 99.99% Public Cloud SLA, European backup strategy and continuous network monitoring add useful operational protection. Amsterdam's Equinix AM6 facility forms the core of the shared-hosting and cloud infrastructure, while dedicated servers extend availability into both the Netherlands and France.

Promotional prices require some attention because renewal costs are higher after the introductory period. Managed VPS configurations are also significantly more expensive than unmanaged servers because management and commercial software licenses are bundled into the monthly price.

Overall, my.host is a strong option for customers looking for an independent European provider with modern hosting technology, straightforward resource allocations, extensive automation and room to expand from ordinary hosting into VPS, dedicated and cloud infrastructure. Its international expansion, multilingual service, renewable-energy approach and broad server portfolio make it particularly suitable for European individuals, developers and small to medium-sized businesses.
