Founder Marijn Vlug developed the business around straightforward hosting, modern infrastructure, competitive pricing and an internally developed management platform. The company remains privately held and independent, without an external hosting group controlling the business.

The my.host brand is the international extension of the established Dutch mijn.host operation. The English-language my.host service launched on August 6, 2026, expanding the business beyond its original Dutch market. Localization is available in English, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, while pricing is adapted to the target market with EUR, DKK, NOK and SEK currencies.

The product range covers Domain Registration, Shared Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, AI Website Builder, Email Hosting, Microsoft 365, Managed VPS, Unmanaged VPS, Public Cloud, Dedicated Servers and SSL Certificates. This makes my.host suitable for anything from a small website or mailbox to larger virtual-server and cloud deployments.

Standard Web Hosting uses NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise and Redis caching. Packages include unlimited traffic, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, email, MySQL databases, DNS management, multiple PHP versions, (S)FTP, SSH, Node.js, Python, cron jobs, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3, a web application firewall and daily backups. Email Hosting can be ordered independently from website hosting. For companies using Microsoft's ecosystem, Microsoft 365 subscriptions include Apps for Business, Business Basic and Business Standard, together with Exchange Online options. Depending on the chosen license, customers receive Microsoft Office applications, 1 TB of OneDrive storage, Teams, Copilot functionality and Exchange mailboxes ranging from 2 GB to 100 GB.

The VPS range is available in both managed and unmanaged configurations and uses AMD EPYC processors with NVMe storage. Unmanaged VPS customers receive root or SSH access, DDoS protection, browser terminal access, API integration, snapshots and backups. Configurations range from 1 CPU core, 2 GB RAM and 10 GB NVMe storage to much larger servers with as many as 32 cores, 120 GB RAM and 800 GB NVMe. Network connectivity reaches up to 10 Gbps on selected configurations, while 1 Gbps is the standard specification.

Managed VPS packages add system updates, security patching, optimization, security hardening, monitoring and priority technical assistance. They also include commercial software such as DirectAdmin, CloudLinux, Imunify360, JetBackup with backup storage, Softaculous and LiteSpeed. Depending on the configuration, VPS customers can also use Plesk or cPanel. A broad selection of Linux distributions and Windows Server editions is available.

The Dedicated Server catalog ranges from economical Intel Xeon systems to modern AMD EPYC servers and high-performance hardware with NVIDIA H100 GPUs. HDD, SSD and NVMe storage configurations are available, with deployments in the Netherlands and France. Features include DDoS mitigation, IPv6, KVM-over-IP, rescue mode, automated operating-system reinstallation and support for virtualization platforms such as Proxmox and VMware ESXi. RAID is available with many configurations, while additional failover IP addresses cost €2.50 per month.

Dedicated servers are self-managed and support operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Fedora, FreeBSD and Arch Linux, together with Proxmox and VMware ESXi. DirectAdmin and Plesk can be added for web-hosting workloads, alongside software such as LiteSpeed, CloudLinux and Imunify360.

The Public Cloud is a flexible IaaS environment built around Apache CloudStack. It includes virtual machines, private networks, VPCs, firewall management, load balancing and NVMe block storage. Ceph provides redundant storage, while High Availability is included for the underlying infrastructure. Cloud resources can be controlled through the graphical interface, API or CLI, and customers can upload their own operating-system images. New Public Cloud accounts currently receive €200 in cloud credit.

Domain Registration includes DNS management, forwarding and management through the same customer platform and API. mijn.host is a direct registrar with SIDN for .nl, DNS Belgium for .be and Internetstiftelsen for .se and .nu. Transfers, DNS changes, nameserver management, registrant changes and DNSSEC are supported according to the individual domain extension.

Free Let's Encrypt certificates cover the normal SSL requirements of hosting customers. Commercial Sectigo SSL Certificates are also available, including single-domain, wildcard and extended-validation business certificates.

A major practical advantage is the internally developed customer platform. Domains, hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, invoices, support, backups and server-management functions can all be handled from the same environment rather than through a generic third-party billing interface.
