VARiHOST is a long-established UK hosting company with roots going back to 1999 and a strong specialization in WordPress. WordPress-focused hosting and support became an important part of the business in 2007, while the current service range is centered mainly on Managed WordPress Hosting and Domain Registration. The company serves individuals, businesses, developers, resellers and IT companies.

The hosting business predates the present company name. VARIHOST LTD, company registration number 04080318, was incorporated on September 28, 2000 as Jasiric Studios Limited and changed its name to VARIHOST LTD in December 2005. Richard Thomas has been a director since incorporation and is also the active person with significant control, holding 75% or more of the shares.

The main hosting product is WordPress Premium Hosting, built around a managed WordPress environment with a complete staging facility, UK hosting, 10 GB mailboxes, FTP access and direct access to WordPress files. Premium WordPress themes and plugins are included, while customers can also install their own themes and plugins. A standard account is intended for one website or primary domain, although additional domains can point to the same website. Customers managing six or more websites can use a reseller or multi-domain arrangement.

WordPress installation assistance is available, making the service suitable for customers who prefer more direct technical help instead of an entirely self-managed hosting environment. A one-click application installer supports WordPress and other commonly used applications.

Website migration is another strong part of the service. Existing websites can be migrated free of charge, with a migration specialist handling the transfer. VARiHOST can also credit up to 10 months of unused comparable hosting already paid to another provider, reducing the cost of moving before an existing contract expires. Same-day migrations are possible when the website and account circumstances allow it.

Domain Registration includes real-time registration, web forwarding, unlimited email forwarding, catch-all forwarding, nameserver management, contact management, DNS management for A, CNAME, MX, SPF and SRV records, domain locking and online domain administration. UK-domain transfers use the EXTEND IPS tag, while generic domains such as .com use the standard authorization or EPP code procedure.

VARiHOST also has a longer history with shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, Hybrid Servers, dedicated servers, standalone email and Hosted Exchange. Some of these services remain relevant to existing customers and older accounts, but the current commercial focus is considerably narrower and concentrates on WordPress hosting and domains.
