EVX Online is a French web hosting provider operated by Wevox SARL (wevox.eu). The EVX Online brand has been active since 2012, while Wevox itself was established on February 21, 2008. Nathan Herbert and Matthieu Geiss were involved in founding the business, which has remained focused on French hosting customers and locally operated infrastructure rather than developing into a large international hosting group.

The company offers shared hosting, domain registration, Mini-VPS, Classic VPS, SSD VPS, managed Cloud Pro hosting, managed Nextcloud, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, SSL certificates, VPS backup, website migration and priority technical support. The combination works particularly well for individuals, small businesses, agencies and professional customers that prefer a smaller French provider with direct technical assistance.

Shared hosting is divided into Perso, Perso SSD, Premium, Business and Business+ plans. Perso includes 30 GB of storage, one website, four databases and ten mailboxes. Perso SSD uses SSD storage with a smaller capacity, while Premium increases the package to 100 GB, 15 websites, 25 databases and 100 email accounts. Business and Business+ use SSD storage and are better suited to commercial websites, with Business+ also including priority support.

The shared platform supports WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop and other PHP/MySQL applications, together with subdomains, FTP access, databases and scheduled tasks. Free Let's Encrypt SSL is included. PHP support covers modern PHP 7.x and 8.x generations, although part of the service documentation still retains references to older software versions.

Outbound email from shared hosting and Cloud Pro uses SpamExperts (spamexperts.com) filtering, helping protect sending IP addresses against blacklisting and improving mail delivery reliability.

One of the most important recent changes is the move from Plesk toward the company's internally developed EvxPanel. EVX Online has ended its shared-hosting Plesk licensing arrangement and is replacing it with its own administration environment. EvxPanel reproduces the principal functions needed to manage websites, databases, mailboxes and domains while allowing the company to develop the platform independently of third-party licensing costs.

The transition is still visible across the service lineup because some hosting and Cloud Pro information continues to reference Plesk. Customers that specifically depend on Plesk extensions, reseller functionality or WordPress Toolkit should therefore confirm the control panel supplied with their package before ordering.

The Mini-VPS range provides inexpensive Linux virtual servers for users comfortable with server administration. Silver includes one 2.2 GHz vCore, 2 GB RAM and 10 GB SSD RAID 10 storage. Gold increases the resources to 4 GB RAM and 20 GB SSD, while Diamant provides 6 GB RAM and 25 GB SSD. A dedicated IP address is included, but backups need to be arranged separately.

The larger Classic VPS plans use VMware virtualization. Starter includes four 2.6 GHz cores, 8 GB RAM, 300 GB RAID 5 storage and a 200 Mbps connection. Pro increases this to eight cores, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB storage and 500 Mbps, while Gold reaches 32 GB RAM with a 1 Gbps network connection. Traffic is unlimited and additional IPv4 addresses can be ordered separately.

Classic VPS is normally delivered as an unmanaged Linux server with SSH access, although system administration assistance can be arranged when needed. This gives experienced users considerable flexibility but also places normal operating-system maintenance and security responsibilities on the customer unless management is purchased separately.

The SSD VPS range provides higher-performance storage and runs from configurations with two cores, 7 GB RAM and 50 GB SSD up to eight cores, 30 GB RAM and 200 GB SSD. Some package names still contain 2018 references, giving this part of the catalog a noticeably older appearance even though the underlying VPS service remains available.

Cloud Pro is aimed more at agencies, developers and businesses that want hosting management included. Bronze provides 75 GB of storage and capacity for up to 25 websites. Silver increases this to 100 GB and 50 websites, while Gold provides 150 GB and capacity for up to 100 websites. Daily backups and server administration are part of the service.

Managed Nextcloud hosting is another useful professional option. Basic includes 200 GB of high-availability storage and supports up to 25 users, while Enterprise provides 1 TB of encrypted high-availability storage for up to 50 users. The service includes managed updates, file synchronization and sharing, calendars, contacts, CalDAV, WebDAV, CardDAV and collaborative features. Backup retention is three days.

Email services go beyond the standard mailboxes included with hosting. Microsoft Exchange 2013 accounts provide 50 GB per mailbox, Outlook Web App, ActiveSync, calendars, contacts and assisted email migration. EVX Online also supplies Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Business Premium, including Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive, Microsoft applications and collaboration services. Microsoft 365 accounts are administered through Microsoft's own management portal.

Some parts of the portfolio retain legacy product names and software references. Exchange continues to use the Exchange 2013 designation, Office information still includes older application versions and several VPS packages retain 2018 naming. The news area has also seen very little activity since 2018. Customers purchasing software-dependent services should confirm current application versions before deployment.

Domain registration covers a wide range of generic and country-code extensions. Customers remain the legal holders of their domains, DNS records can be managed directly, and WHOIS privacy is enabled where the corresponding registry allows it. Domain registration normally completes quickly when the account information is correct.

Domain renewals are not forced automatically by default, although automatic renewal can be enabled. This arrangement gives customers greater control but also makes it important to monitor expiration dates carefully.

Paid SSL certificates include Alpha SSL, Wildcard Alpha SSL and Extended SSL products validated through GlobalSign. For ordinary shared-hosting websites, free Let's Encrypt certificates already cover the most common SSL requirement.

Additional services include VPS Backup based on BackupPC, website migration assistance and Priority Support. Migration can cover website files, databases and mailboxes and can even be ordered for transfers between two external hosting companies.

The service is primarily French-language and no multi-language/localized version exists. This makes EVX Online considerably more practical for French-speaking customers. Product prices are shown in EUR, normally with both excluding-VAT and VAT-inclusive values.
