123 Reg is a British domain registrar and hosting provider created in 2000 by Jonathan Beresford-Brealey and Tim Beresford-Brealey. The same founders had started Webfusion Internet Solutions in 1997. 123 Reg became the United Kingdom's leading domain registrar by 2004, recorded 2 million domain registrations in 2009, and crossed the 3 million mark in 2012. More than 3.5 million domains and 1.7 million hosted websites now sit behind the brand. Its English-only service is primarily aimed at UK small businesses, self-employed professionals, and customers who prefer to manage domains, websites, hosting, and email with one provider.

The business passed through several owners. Host Europe Group acquired 123 Reg and Webfusion in 2003, and Pipex Communications bought that group for GBP 31.2 million in 2004. The UK activities were subsequently brought together under Webfusion. On April 3, 2017, GoDaddy completed the EUR 1.69 billion purchase of Host Europe Group, making GoDaddy the ultimate owner of 123 Reg. Host Europe Group Limited remains the active person with significant control over the operating company and holds at least 75% of its shares.

Services are contracted through 123-Reg Limited, company number 05306504. This legal entity was incorporated on December 7, 2004, although the 123 Reg brand had already been trading for four years. Earlier registered names were Pipex Holdings One Limited, Pipex Communications UK Limited, GX Networks Limited, and Webfusion Limited. Its registered office transferred to Nottingham, England, in 2024. Companies House currently lists Andrew Gradon and Phontip Palitwanon as directors. The company information section continues to name Nick Daddario as a director, but the registry records his resignation on December 13, 2024; the statutory record is therefore the current reference for legal leadership. LinkedIn gives an employee range of 51–200.

Domain Registration is still a defining part of the service. The catalog exceeds 400 extensions and covers UK identities such as .co.uk .uk .cymru .wales, alongside widely used alternatives including .com .org .ai .me. An AI domain-search function generates possible names from a business idea. Once registered, domains can be administered through tools for DNS records, nameservers, transfers, automatic renewal, locking, and ownership protection. The provider's Nominet IPS tag is 123-REG. Selected hosting and website packages include an eligible domain for the first year, after which the extension's normal renewal terms apply.

Four Web Hosting packages use cPanel and NVMe SSD storage. Economy hosts one website with 25 GB, ten 1 GB MySQL databases, one CPU, 512 MB shared RAM, five FTP users, and one mailbox. Deluxe permits ten websites, 50 GB, 25 databases, and two mailboxes. Ultimate handles 25 sites with 75 GB, 50 databases, two CPUs, 1.5 GB shared RAM, three mailboxes, and 50 FTP accounts. Maximum raises this to 50 websites, 100 GB, 100 databases, two CPUs, 2 GB shared RAM, five mailboxes, and 75 FTP users. Unmetered bandwidth, daily automatic backups, DDoS defense, continuous monitoring, application installation, an initial domain, and SSL are bundled, although Economy's SSL inclusion lasts only for the first year; the higher tiers cover all hosted websites with unlimited SSL certificates.

Managed WordPress Hosting comes as Basic, Deluxe, Ultimate, and Ecommerce. Automated migration, CDN delivery, SSL, regular backups, core updates, malware scans and removal, and a 99.9% uptime commitment apply across the range. Basic combines 30 GB with one mailbox. Deluxe supplies 75 GB, two mailboxes, an SEO optimizer, and staging. Ultimate has no stated storage ceiling and includes three mailboxes. Ecommerce adds five mailboxes, WooCommerce, and 75 premium extensions covering areas such as shipping, checkout, marketing, and payments. Multi-site agency packages provide one dashboard for several WordPress installations, with separate SSL and staging for each site.

Premium Hosting uses container virtualization to offer guaranteed resources without transferring server administration to the customer. 123 Reg handles setup, maintenance, and updates. Launch supplies two CPUs, 4 GB guaranteed RAM, 100 GB NVMe storage, one email account, unlimited bandwidth, and a planning allowance of roughly 150,000 visits per month. Enhance doubles the processor, memory, and storage allocation and targets about 300,000 visits. Grow reaches eight CPUs, 16 GB RAM, 300 GB, and approximately 500,000 visits. Expand provides 16 CPUs, 32 GB RAM, 400 GB, and guidance of around 750,000 visits. The plans include cPanel, SSL, unlimited MySQL databases, SSH, cron, more than 125 one-click Linux applications, and a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

VPS Hosting offers Linux and Windows systems with root or administrator access, dedicated IP allocation, NVMe disks, unlimited traffic, snapshots, automatic backups, DDoS filtering, and performance alerts. Standard Linux choices include two vCPUs, 4 GB RAM, and 100 GB storage; four vCPUs, 8 GB, and 200 GB; or eight vCPUs, 16 GB, and 400 GB. The high-memory series starts with one vCPU, 4 GB RAM, and 40 GB, then scales to eight vCPUs, 32 GB, and 400 GB. Larger plans receive more additional IPv4 addresses. Linux supports cPanel/WHM or Plesk, while Windows combines Plesk Obsidian with MS SQL, ASP.NET, and .NET compatibility. The VPS 99.9% monthly uptime guarantee provides a qualifying 5% credit against that month's hosting fee after a breach.

For customers who do not want to manage a CMS, the Website Builder provides responsive templates, drag-and-drop editing, blogging, rich media, marketing tools, SEO, appointments, social integration, a domain, email, and SSL. Personal includes one mailbox and a PayPal widget. Business adds stronger search tools and two mailboxes, while Business Plus expands appointments and marketing. Online Store has five mailboxes, inventory management, unlimited products and services, coupons, gift cards, ecommerce analytics, and local or international delivery options. Merchant integrations include credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Square, Stripe, Klarna, invoices, checks, bank transfers, and cash on delivery.

Titan powers Email Hosting, with storage ranging from 10 GB on Pro Light to 100 GB on Ultra. All tiers include calendars, webmail, mobile apps, spam and virus filtering, and one-click imports. Upper levels add AI writing, multiple-account management, read receipts, delayed sending, undo send, aliases, campaigns, appointment booking, advanced tracking, branded signatures, and invoice templates. Microsoft 365 packages provide another route to branded email, calendars, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and qualifying desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The security catalog includes SSL Certificates with domain, managed domain, organization, and extended validation, plus wildcard and multi-domain coverage. Certificates use 128-to-256-bit encryption and include unlimited server licenses, a browser padlock, and a site seal. Managed DV includes installation and maintenance, while OV and EV require an incorporated business and more detailed identity checks.
