Dec, 2003 : EuroTrust A/S Streamlines Management Team
📅 - Information security provider EuroTrust A/S (eurotrust.dk) announced on Monday that chief operating officer Brian Mertz Pederson has resigned. EuroTrust said chief executive officer Aldo Peterson will assume the duties of the chief operating officer position while maintaining his position as CEO.
The company said Pederson has left to pursue opportunities in the startup area and continues to have a close relationship with EuroTrust. "We have completed most of what EuroTrust set out to achieve when I joined the company" said Pedersen.
Pedersen joined EuroTrust in 2000 after founding Virus112, which is now a fully owned successful subsidiary of EuroTrust.
The company also announced that Bertel Jensen has resigned as chief financial officer.
Jensen joined the company as CFO in 1995 and helped play a vital role in the company's initial public offering on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in 1997. Jensen is also credited with the successful negotiation of the affiliate agreement with VeriSign Inc. in November 2000 and June 2001.
Corporate Finance Director Soeren Degn has been appointed the new CFO. Prior to his employment with EuroTrust in 2001, Degn spent 5 years with Kampsax A/S, a consultancy firm, and 7 years with KPMG in Denmark.
EuroTrust said the streamlining of management was due to the sale of subsidiaries and the closing down of the office in Switzerland.
"Both EuroTrust and myself have very much appreciated the enormous contribution that Mr. Pedersen and Mr. Jensen have made to the Company through which we have ensured EuroTrust a sound business foundation for future growth," said EuroTrust CEO Aldo Petersen. "But as a result of the sale of the subsidiaries and our decision to close the branch office in Switzerland the management has decided to streamline the administration of the company."
EuroTrust sold its Web hosting subsidiary to Mondo in October.
