Mar 15, 2004 : Smartwebs Integrates Workflow System

📅 - Smartwebs (smartwebs.com), a Boston-based developer of Web content management products, announced on Monday that it has upgraded the workflow system across its entire product line. According to the company, the system is designed to ensure content accuracy by mandating review and approval of Web site content before it is published.

Under Smartwebs' upgraded workflow system, email notifications are sent out to site administrators for pending content requests. The system also includes a content history feature that can be used to create an audit trail for accountability and compliance. A site builder and modules that allow for the performance of pre-defined tasks can also be added to the system.
"Smartwebs upgraded workflow feature is designed to add an additional layer of accuracy and accountability," says Chuck Murphy, founder and president of Smartwebs. "The approval process ensures tracking of all actions and creates an audit trail that meets the needs of many of the government regulatory requirements."
