📅 - Netscaler (netscaler.com), a developer of application delivery systems, announced on Wednesday that online auction marketplace uBid (ubid.com) has deployed NetScaler 9000 series products to improve the response times, server performance and security of its bidding site. Netscaler was selected, uBid said, for its superior application optimization capabilities and its ability to strengthen security while significantly reducing bandwidth costs, server load and SSL traffic.
"uBid's five million registered customers rely on us to provide them with an agile experience ... a customer expectation that we take very seriously," says Mano Sivashanmugam, vice president of information technology for uBid. "Since we deployed the Netscaler 9000 Series application delivery systems, our customers are seeing as much as a 50 percent improvement in dial-up response times and a 30 percent improvement for even broadband connections."
According to uBid, Netscaler's systems helped the company double application performance while reducing bandwidth costs by 50 percent.
