Nov 24, 2004 : Xpedite Picks TeleCity Data Centers

📅 November 24, 2004 - European colocation and data center services provider TeleCity (telecity.com) announced on Wednesday that it has added Xpedite, a provider of document generation and business messaging solutions, as a new customer.

Under the deal, Xpedite will move its IT operations, previously run in-house, into TeleCity's data center facilities in Paris and London. TeleCity says the transition will help Xpedite streamline its existing operational needs and ensure continuity of service.
"TeleCity was the ideal place for the relocation of our servers," says Iain Akhurst, European operations director for Xpedite. "We wanted to outsource our data center needs, increase server resilience and reduce costs, and TeleCity was able to satisfy all of our requirements. Another key factor was access to the large number of carriers present at TeleCity, as resilient connectivity is key to our business."
TeleCity says it will provide a high level of support, with engineers present on site 24 hours a day.
"This is great endorsement for TeleCity's service capabilities and proof of the excellent reputation our data centers enjoy across Europe. We're looking forward to a long and successful relationship," says Rick Hudson, CEO of TeleCity.
