📅 June 7, 2005 - Internet service and Web hosting automation software developer Rodopi Software (rodopi.com) announced on Tuesday that it had released Rodopi 6.0, an operations support system with a new service-oriented architecture for integrating new components and functionality.

In addition to the new architecture, Rodopi 6.0 includes an improved IP billing engine, a new .NET customer portal for self-activation and account management, and redesigned reporting services.

Rodopi says a service-oriented architecture enables service providers to access application processes, which can be combined and consumed as "services" across multiple OSS and network systems. Flexibly integrating functionality accelerates time to market and new service introduction, the company says.

"Rodopi has always been a technology leader in Web-based, integrated operations and business systems for IP service providers," says Todd Benjamin, president and CEO of Rodopi. "The new service-oriented architecture and enhanced functionality moves Rodopi to the forefront of OSS framework technology and rapid ROI service introduction."

Emails originating from an US Internet address were used in an attempt to trick recipients into divulging their Internet banking passwords.
