📅 June 8, 2005 - On-demand distributed hosting and content delivery services provider Speedera Networks (speedera.com) announced on Tuesday that the NFL's Oakland Raiders had selected Speedera Networks to host their Web site www.raiders.com.

The Oakland Raiders have added new site features, such as Flash video streaming content, and anticipate record site traffic as the new season approaches.

Speedera says that by leveraging its globally distributed network of servers, organizations like the Oakland Raiders can avoid costly infrastructure build-outs, focusing instead on Web site content.

"Sports teams like the Raiders are adding enormous amounts of dynamic content - especially on game day - and are seeking solutions that enable their fans to easily and instantly access the latest online information about their favorite teams and players," says Ajit Gupta, president and CEO of Speedera.
