Jun 9, 2005 : HostingCon 2005 Wraps Up

📅 - HostingCon 2005 (hostingcon.com), the two-day Web hosting conference held this week in Chicago concluded on Tuesday with a fresh round of information sessions, and keynote addresses from SWsoft's Serguei Beloussov and Microsoft's Pascal Martin.

Exhibitors packed up their booths late Tuesday afternoon, wrapping up the first conference in almost four years to focus directly on the hosting business. According to organizers, the conference was attended by more than 600 industry professionals.

Many of the Web hosts in attendance seemed pleased with the conference's execution, and valued the event's specific focus, considering the more limited play hosting receives at events like ComDex and ISPCon.

"We are extremely pleased with the response that we've received about HostingCon 2005," says George A. Roberts IV, executive director of HostingCon 2005. "We had a great turnout and everyone was networking with the vendors in our exhibit hall and learning in our keynotes and conference sessions."

Roberts is president and CEO of Interjuncture, the provider of service provider products and services responsible for organizing and executing the conference.

The event's second day opened with a keynote presentation by Serguei Beloussov, CEO of hosting software provider SWsoft, and concluded with a presentation by Microsoft general manager of worldwide hosting, Pascal Martin.

The day, and the conference, was capped by a party hosted by Web hosting firm and major HostingCon sponsor FastServers.net, at the Chicago nightclub Level.
