Jun 10, 2005 : Web Host Gogofrog Launches Web Site
📅 - Melbourne, Australia-based Web services company Gogofrog (gogofrog.com) announced on Thursday it has launched its new Web site.
Through its unique "3D Web Space" hosting service, navigation is facilitated through three-dimensional rooms and doorways using keyboard arrow keys, while a conventional point and click menu is available for support navigation.
"I don't accept the common position that the Web should be confined to two dimensions," says Gogofrog co-founder Vincent Teubler. "It was only as a result of developers challenging 2D conventions that we have witnessed the massive expansion in the global computer game industry."
The Gogofrog 3D Web Space service was launched in April 2005, and more than 1000 users from around the world built Web spaces within the first month alone. The free service invites users to build their own Gogofrog Web space by entering in a username and password, email address, then following a few simple site-construction steps that include choosing from a set of templates.
