📅 - IT outsourcing and Web hosting provider EDS (eds.com) extended its agreement with pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts, the companies announced on Wednesday. The companies added four years to an existing deal that takes them through 2010. According to the deal, EDS will handle Express Scripts' IT infrastructure, including computing power and information storage via mainframe hosting and storage management, database support and hosting for its mid-range servers. EDS says its solution is designed to help Express Scripts maximize savings, enabling them to concentrate on their businesses. "EDS is playing a significant role in helping us lower costs for our clients and patients," says Pat McNamee for Express Scripts. "The flexibility and scalability that EDS solutions provide continue to support our growth. We found that EDS's deep industry knowledge enhanced the overall experience for our clients and patients, which is a primary objective for us."
