Aug 30, 2005 : Three Law Firms Move to Terremark

📅 August 30, 2005 - Data center and Internet exchange operator Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com ) announced on Tuesday that it had added law firms Greenberg Traurig, Ferrell Law and Shutts & Bowen as new customers.
The three firms will move their infrastructure to Terremark's NAP of the Americas. Terremark will provide its "SecuredVirtual Legal Suite," which helps companies employ disaster recovery and business continuity strategies and secure their client's data in compliance with regulatory legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley. "We welcome these law firms to our growing customer base and anticipate that other professional services firms will take advantage of the NAP's state-of-the-art connectivity, security and redundancy necessary to manage their mission-critical infrastructure," says Manuel D. Medina, chairman and CEO of Terremark Worldwide. Terremark recently acquired European managed host Dedigate.

📅 Feb 23, 2009 - Iceland Data Center Postponed A Year - With its banking system having collapsed under the weight of billions of dollars of debt accumulated over years of overseas expansion, an international data center in Iceland will be delayed by approximately 12 months, according to Verne Holdings, which first proposed the data center in February 2008.

📅 Feb 9, 2009 - Terremark Delays Building in Santa Clara - Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com ) announced on Monday it has decided to delay the building of a data center in Santa Clara, California, focusing its development budget dollars instead on its data center in Virginia, the NAP of the Capital Region, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge.

The company says it is seeing significant demand for colocation and managed hosting services at the Culpeper, Virginia facility.

Last month, Terremark began offering its full suite of managed solutions at the NAP of the Capital Region following the completed deployment of its Infinistructure utility-computing platform.
