📅 September 26, 2005 - Web hosting provider Brinkster (brinkster.com ) announced on Monday that it is 500 customers away from signing its two millionth customer after nearly six years of offering free and paid Web hosting services.

The company expects to announce its 2 millionth customer sign-up on October 3rd. When this happens, Brinkster will celebrate by giving that customer a choice of several gifts.

"This milestone is important because it is reflective of our strong customer growth as we continue our commitment to offer the best service at the best price," says Jared Stauffer, president and CEO of Brinkster.

The two millionth customer will be able to choose between a Sony PSP and an Apple iPod Nano, as well as being rewarded with two years of free Web hosting and a featured spot on the Brinkster Web site.
