📅 December 12, 2005 - Digital certificates provider thawte (thawte.com) announced on Monday that had launched German and French language Web sites which sell their SSL and code signing product ranges. The sites enable German and French customers to purchase, renew and reissue certificates in their own languages.

"Our customers continue to remain our main focus at thawte," says Ilse Baxter, director of business strategy, marketing and sales at thawte.

Thawte's product portfolio includes different 256-bit capable SSL certificates, including SSL Web Server certificates, premium SGC SuperCerts and fast-turnaround, low-priced SSL123 Certificates. It also includes platform-independent code signing certificates, free personal email certificates and various payment solutions. To date, thawte has issued over 600,000 SSL and code signing certificates and over 1,000,000 personal certificates.

The company recently announced that its certificates fully support internationalized domain names and certificate contents are fully internationalized.
