The company said the product is currently available through its retail channel and will be distributed through its resellers and partners at a future date.
Thawte said SSL 123 was developed to respond to customer demands for fast turnaround. "It became apparent through communication with our customers that there was a need for an SSL certificate that could be obtained easier, faster and more cost effectively from what we were offering in our existing product line, which has set the highest standards of entity authentication used within the digital certificate market today," says Bo Wilson, managing director of Thawte. "We are addressing these customers' Internet and Intranet needs with our new SSL123 product offering, which also includes our free, highly acclaimed multi-lingual global support. We are very excited about SSL123 and know that our new and existing customers will be as well."
