📅 May 4, 2006 - Managed Web hosting provider Globix (globix.com) announced on Thursday that the British Heart Foundation (bhf.org.uk) has chosen Globix to provide major enhancements to its Web site infrastructure, improving performance and reliability for the organization's 450,000 monthly visitors.

The BHF, says Globix, is the largest independent provider of funding for heart research in the Uk. The company expects online donations to increase significantly in 2006 from the £1.5 million raised in 2005.

"We are continuously looking for ways to improve the service the BHF Web site offers to our visitors," says Randy Perkins, Web development manager at the BHF. "Globix offers a hosting solution that guarantees a twenty-four seven Web presence. Since Globix began hosting bhf.org.uk in March 2006, we've not been let down once."

The BHF Web site serves as a direct source of funding for research, education and care. It also provides a valuable resource for information on heart problems. The site's significance makes security and reliability a powerful concern for the organization.

Globix announced last week that it had achieved Gold Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Prorgram.
