📅 July 19, 2006 - Web hosting provider HostMySite (hostmysite.com ) announced on Friday it has launched a new Linux Web hosting plan for $2.95 per month. This low-priced plan offers an affordable entry to the Web and HostMySite's range of services.

HostMySite also added two new Linux plans featuring Ruby on Rails and the enhancement of its entire Linux hosting plan lineup with PHP 5. HostMySite says its developer-friendly Linux plans, already popular among the open-source community, include everything necessary for personal and small to large business Web sites.

The new $2.95 Linux plan includes disk space and features tailored to customers who need a simple solution or are just starting out on the Web. The more advanced Linux plans feature programming support and are available with ColdFusion or Ruby on Rails. All HostMySite Linux plans now include PHP 5 support, and customers can choose to toggle between PHP 4 and PHP 5 through a Web-based control panel.
