📅 July 11, 2006 - Automation software company ModernGigabyte (moderngigabyte.com) announced on Monday it has released ModernBill 5.0. Built on the new MBAPI, ModernBill 5.0 extends its capabilities beyond the hosting industry, providing any organization with a flexible and automated billing solution.

The latest version of the billing software includes a software developer's kit, SDK. Exclusively available to ModernBill customers, the developer's kit integrates third party applications into the ModernBill 5.0 core engine, also known as the MBAPI. Developers can also develop their own applications using the MBAPI engine.

"We developed ModernBill Version 5.0 completely from scratch in order to build a solid product that enables companies of all sizes to begin billing their customers using an online, automated billing system and provides a foundation for developers to integrate or build their own applications using the MBAPI," says Jon McCarrick, VP of sales at ModernGigabyte.

ModernBill 5.0 includes new features such as multiple language, currency and tax capabilities. Companies no long have to run multiple installations of ModernBill to sell products and services to multiple countries. The software also enables customers to run only one installation to cater to multiple countries, languages, currencies and taxes.
