👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Friday it has added Entourage Support, a new support service that provides customers with direct access to its specialized staff of IT experts.

Free to dedicated and colocated customers, Entourage Support is is designed to enhance their support and service experience with HostMySite.

Dedicated customers will each be assigned to an entourage, or a small group of experienced server engineers and a support supervisor, who will work closely with customers whenever they need help.

The entourage provides a team of server engineers who are familiar with every dedicated customer's hosting architecture, a supervisor to contact in the case of an emergency and a fast resolution time to resolve issues.

"Entourage Support helps us greatly expand our trusted partnership with HostMySite.com customers," says Erik Landsness, director of support services for HostMySite. "Our customers, no matter what their size, look to us as a full technology partner for their business. Now, they have an entire team who is familiar with their business and applications available to them at no extra cost."

Offering expanded IT technical support and service level agreements has become a recent trend among managed hosting providers.

Last week, PEER 1 Network Enterprises launched its own service guarantee program called FirstCall Support, which connects customers with appropriate experts within their very first support desk call.

Rackspace made its "Fanatical Support Promise" official last March by issuing a short-form version of the service level agreement that enables customers to leave before their contracts are up if they are dissatisfied with its service.

Newark, Delaware-based HostMySite provides individuals, small businesses, and large corporations with dedicated servers, VPS hosting, and ASP.NET hosting.

In November, on-demand IT compliance and security solutions provider Alert Logic partnered with HostMySite equipping its customers with Alert Logic's Log Manager and Threat Manager for PCI Data Security Standard compliance.
