Mexico City, Mexico Selected to Host 34th International Public Meeting

Mexico City, Mexico will host the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers' 34th International Public Meeting from 1-6 March 2009.
At its 26 June 2008 meeting, the ICANN Board accepted the proposal to host the meeting put forward by the Mexican Internet Association (AMIPCI).
"ICANN looks forward to its first meeting in Mexico," said Paul Levins, ICANN's Executive Officer and Vice President - Corporate Affairs. "Mexico has been a great supporter of ICANN since its inception."
The dedicated website for the meeting as well as the meeting venue will be the announced in the near future.
Additionally, ICANN's next meeting will be held 2-7 November in Cairo, Egypt at the Intercontinental CityStars. The meeting is free to attend, and open to any interested person. ICANN encourages broad participation in its bottom-up consensus-development processes. You can participate in these meetings in person, through the audiocast or other remote participation opportunities, and/or by joining one of the various ICANN-related mailing lists.
Those who wish to attend are encouraged to start planning now and complete the online registration form at http://public.icann.org/cai. ICANN group rates are also now available at Intercontinental CityStars and Holiday Inn Cairo CityStars and information on making reservations is available on our website.
