Jul 1, 2008 : Nettlinx to Acquire Aussie Web Host

📅 July 1, 2008 - Web hosting provider Nettlinx (nettlinx.com -> bigrock.in) announced last week that it is in the process of acquiring an unnamed Australian web host, helping the company to expand into the hosting market.


Nettlinx first entered the hosting industry with last year's purchase of US web host, Host Department. This year, the company says it is seeking to consolidate the hosting business and as part of this strategy is looking at more acquisitions in the Asia Pacific region.

The web host has shown a period of solid profits and good growth in turnover over the last 12 months, which it expects to continue through 2008 to 2010.

Nettlinx management says it sees synergy between the current business and the Aussie web host, and the new acquisition should help in streamlining the business processes at Nettlinx and its associate companies.

The company has 12 points of presence and nearly 200 marketing network nodes offering complete Internet solutions.

"With more than adequate finance available, we do not foresee restrictions from a financial perspective on the ability to keep up with realistically achievable growth," says Vijay Bhasker Reddy, executive director of Nettlinx.

Nettlinx has appointed Sydney, Australia-based Massey Bailey, Solicitors & Consultants as the party to oversee the deal as well as value the company appropriately.

The agreement will be in the form of a share sale agreement for acquisition of the 100 percent share holding, which is set to take place before September.
