Nov, 2001 : Groupe 2MB Selects IBM Canada for Hosting

📅 November 23, 2001 - IBM Canada (can.ibm.com/services/webhosting) has announced that Montreal-based Groupe 2MB (g2mb.com) has selected IBM to host andmanage its Intranet solution online. IBM will provide real estate, bandwidthand power for Groupe 2MB's servers housed in IBM's e-business Hosting Centrein Montreal.

"Groupe 2MB's expertise is in developing software tools that manage personaldata for very small businesses and departments within large enterprises,"said Roger Doré, president, Groupe 2MB. "Outsourcing our hostingrequirements to IBM allows us to focus on what we do best and assures ourcustomers that our offerings are 100 per cent stable and secure."
Groupe 2MB's Micro-Intranet personal productivity tool allows groups ofpeople with common interests to manage, share, create and exchangeinformation - graphic, written, numerical, video or audio - and to access itfrom anywhere in the world, on any computer or cell phone, via the Internet.To make the process easier and to maximize individual productivity, eachuser can customize his access environment without outside technical help andwithout affecting the other users' environments or shared data.Micro-Intranet won first prize for innovation at the Montreal InternationalMultimedia Conference last October.
