Ensim, Compaq Offer Integrated Management for Server Blades

📅 January 30, 2002 - Ensim Corporation (ensim.com), a provider of hostingautomation solutions, has announced the integration of its flagshipmanagement platform for hosting, ServerXchange , with Compaq ComputerCorporation's (compaq.com) automated system provisioning tool for CompaqProLiant servers. The new integrated management system, based on the newProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack, allows data-center operators todeploy hundreds of application suites and services onto the new CompaqProLiant BL e-Class server blades, in addition to ProLiant ML and DLServers.

The integration is the latest development in the joint sales, marketing andtechnology relationship formed in April 2001 between Ensim and Compaq. Tooffer its open operations and management solution for blade servers, Ensimhas worked with Compaq to test and integrate its ServerXchange with CompaqProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack, a new software option forautomated system provisioning on ProLiant servers. Features and benefitsinclude efficient bulk loading, a streamlined interface, and rapiddeployment of service plans.
