📅 - Major Canadian telecommunications company TELUS Corporation (telus.com) and enterprise banking software developer Fincentric Corporation (fincentric.com) announced on Tuesday that they have partnered to provide systems consulting, integration, hosting and software licensing an support to Canada's fourth largest credit union, Envision Credit Union, in a seven-year agreement.
TELUS and Fincentric, say the companies, will provide banking solutions through a single platform integrating in-branch, ATM, telephone and Internet systems for Envision's 100,000 members. The value of the agreement was not disclosed.
"By combining the technology and application management expertise of TELUS with world-class banking software from Fincentric, we are able to create a first-class banking solution for our membership as a whole," says Gord Huston, Envision CEO. "Our partnership with TELUS and Fincentric has created the optimal balance of banking system functionality, flexibility, extensibility and reliable operation while at the same time managing the cost of technology to Envision."
TELUS, say the companies, will provide systems integration and consulting services designed to transition Envision from multiple banking system providers to the complete new solution, powered by Fincentric's i-Wealthview Banking platform. TELUS says it will also support the credit union's technology and information team with a suite of banking system management services including ongoing systems integration and consulting, application management and enhancement, systems operation and technology management and telecommunication network provisioning and management.
Fincentric says its i-Wealthview Banking offers comprehensive applications for deposits, payments and consumer lending and integration across multiple delivery channels, including branch, ATM, telephone and Internet banking. Designed as a complete front-to-back office banking system for financial institutions, the platform features customer value management capabilities allowing the institution to analyze the value of its members, formulate strategies to maximize their value and improve membership retention levels.
Created in 2001 from the amalgamation of FIRST Heritage Savings Credit Union and Delta Credit Union, Envision has 100,000 members and operates 18 branches and 16 insurance offices in British Columbia.
