📅 March 26, 2002 - Gartner, Inc., a research and advisory firm, announced today the results of its Gartner Magic Quadrant, evaluating vendors in specific markets. Assessing each company's technology, service, support, features, functionality, and viability, Gartner Research covers the entire IT and telecom world, compiling lists of the industry's leaders, based on their vision and ability to execute on that vision.

VERITAS Software was listed in the leader quadrant based on two major storage software markets: Enterprise Backup and Storage Area Network (SAN) management. This third consecutive year VERITAS (veritas.com) Software has earned leader status in the Enterprise Backup quadrant on the strength of its data protection products, including VERITAS NetBackup.
Conxion Corporation (conxion.com) and Digex, Incorporated, both managed hosting providers, were listed in Gartner's North American Web Hosting Magic Quadrant.
