📅 - Technology giant IBM and Linux developer Red Hat Inc. have reportedly agreed to a multi-year deal for the development of Linux solutions to support enterprise customers.
The deal is said to include services and expanded support for software and servers. Red hat says it will deliver its Linux Advanced Serer for IBM's EServer ZSeries, ISeries and PSeries. IBM Global Services, in turn, will provide support for Red Hat Linux Advanced Server on its entire EServer product line. Reports say IBM will pay an undisclosed sum to Red Hat to adapt its software to the IBM systems. The company's sales and service organization is expected to help with the accelerated deployment of Linux around the world.
