Sep 17, 2002 : NetNation Launches New Referral Program

📅 September 17, 2002 - Web hosting firm NetNation Communication Inc. (NetNation.com -> hostway.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched a new Referral Program, offering businesses and individuals the opportunity to resell NetNation's services without having to provide support or billing.

The new program, says NetNation, provides a semi-brandable ordering system that can be integrated into a referral agent's Web site. The referral agent can sell Web hosting to its customers while NetNation provides the infrastructure, billing, customer service and technical support.
NetNation says there are no up-front costs or post-sale responsibilities for referral agents, who receive a competitive recurring 25 percent commission on each account sold.
"Many people want to provide web hosting services because there is demand, but they don't have the experience, resources, facilities or time to build and maintain the necessary infrastructure that is needed for enterprise level hosting," said Priya Gandhi, product manager for NetNation. "Our new program eliminates the barriers to offer web hosting, leaving the referral agent to simply sell the services and make a profit while we take care of everything else."
