📅 - Data center automation solution developer Jareva Technologies (jareva.com) announced last week that data, voice and Internet service provider SBC Communications Inc. has chosen to deploy Jareva's OpForce IT Automation Suite in its data centers.
The rollout of the technology, says Jareva, will begin in Texas and California, and eventually be deployed through the company's 26 other data centers.
Jareva says SBC picked OpForce after evaluating a number of technologies on the market, largely due to the platform's functionality, scalability and ability to integrate with other systems.
"Customers want to reduce their time to market and as a result, they demand rapid deployment, increased efficiency, and on-demand scalability. In an IT environment that is traditionally labor intensive, you just don't get these benefits," said Jagadish Bandhole, chief executive officer for Jareva. "OpForce automates the entire IT infrastructure management process and takes the concept of working smarter to a whole new level."
SBC, says Jareva, used Java, Perl and XML APIs to quickly complete integration between OpForce and other critical data center applications.
According to Jareva, OpForce simplifies technology configuration and automates day-to-day tasks that would otherwise require manual labor. The platform automatically discovers and provisions newly-installed servers and sets up their networking environments.
