Dec, 2002 : SAP Hosting Strengthens Global Organization

📅 December 9, 2002 - E-business solution provider SAP AG (sap.com) announced on Monday that it has strengthened its SAP Hosting organization by incorporating the operations of e-procurement subsidiary emaro AG.

The new SAP global hosting operation, says the company, will combine the resources of emaro with SAP's Application Hosting and Global Operation Services in a single unit to be overseen by SAP Hosting managing director Thomas Besthorn.
By incorporating emaro into its global organization, SAP Hosting complements its solution portfolio with a range of electronic procurement functions and services. emaro's core functions, says SAP, include the operation of an electronic platform for the procurement of catalog-based items.
SAP Hosting's range of services includes implementation hosting, application hosting, remote application management and hosted learning, says the company, and delivers reliability and predictability of cost.
The enhanced SAP Hosting organization, says the company, concentrates SAP's hosting resources into one global organization offering global support and partnerships with strong industry providers. The global unit is staffed by employees of SAP's existing hosting services in Germany, the US and Asia.
"Our hosting program continues to expand as we grow our portfolio of services and serve companies of all sizes in diverse industries around the world," says Gerhard Oswald, member, SAP Executive Management Board. "With the new global organization, SAP Hosting can now more effectively help customers maximize return on investment and gain complete support around the clock for their technology investment."
