Feb, 2003 : Switch and Data Expands Distribution Program
📅 - Vendor-neutral colocation and interconnection provider Switch and Data (SwitchandData.com -> equinix.com) announced on Monday that it has expanded its SingleCNXT-i program.
The program, says the company, opens a new distribution channel for ISPs that are already Switch and Data customers by distributing their services through Switch and Data's sales force. The company says new participants Accretive Networks, Limelight Networks and NTT/Verio are generating new revenue streams through the SingleCNXT-i program.
SingleCNXT-i enhances the Switch and Data marketplace, says the company, by giving customers an additional choice when colocating in its facilities. Customers can now use Switch and Data to facilitate the bandwidth transaction, rather than initiating relationships with ISPs directly.
"The goals of this service are to help our ISP customers grow and to provide a packaged solution for those customers that value a single interface and bill for their colocation and Internet access needs," said Steve Janzen, senior vice president of sales at Switch and Data.
