Jul, 2003 : SAVVIS Tapped by MarketGrader for Hosting

📅 July 15, 2003 - SAVVIS Communications (savvis.com) announced today it has concluded an agreement with MarketGrader, an independent financial research firm, to provide its Intelligent Hosting Services for MarketGrader's new subscription-based online service.

"SAVVIS' Intelligent Hostingprovides end-to-end engineering, implementation services, and award-winning customer service that supports MarketGrader's current and future business plans," said Jack Finlayson, president and chief operating officer of SAVVIS. "As MarketGrader grows, its application challenges will grow also. SAVVIS provides growing organizations such as MarketGrader with the same high-end, redundant infrastructure that the established players get, but at a price point that they can afford."
SAVVIS managed hosting services are based on a 'virtualized' service model that enables businesses to have a dedicated server and private network -- without the high costs typically associated with this type of solution.
"As a young company growing in today's economic environment, we can't afford mistakes," said Carlos Diez, president of MarketGrader. "We recognized the need for a managed hosting solution and looked at more than 10 providers... we quickly determined we needed a provider with demonstrated expertise in the financial services community."

According to Netcraft, Myhosting.com is the largest Windows 2003 hoster with 13,504 sites, followed by Fasthosts at 11,978 and Advanced Access at 10,301.
