Under the program, The Planet is offering free plane tickets to qualified IT executives, inviting them to visit its 60,000 square foot data center facility in Dallas. Participants will then be presented with a detailed migration plan that will address the number of servers, switching configuration, load balancing and firewall evaluation, routing configuration, back-up options, and storage options.
Customers who qualify for the BMP also get up to 250 hours worth of services at no charge. In addition, an entire year of business continuance services is also being offered for the first three contracts valued at over $5,000 per month.
"We recognize that in today's hosting environment, migration plans are currently a dime a dozen," said Lance Crosby, chief operating officer of The Planet. "In The Planet's case, we're prepared to invest our dollars upfront because it's clear that our BMP will offer qualified customers an instantaneous return on their investment."
Crosby added that The Planet is presently working on additional unique marketing programs scheduled for launch later this summer and early fall.
