Jul, 2003 : SWsoft Launches FUSION Consolidation Program

📅 July 28, 2003 - SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced today the launch of FUSION, an enterprise server consolidation program that uses its Virtuozzo virtualization and resource management software.

SWsoft said the new program will allow thousands of legacy Windows NT and UNIX systems to seamlessly consolidate to dozens of more powerful and secure servers.
The benefit of FUSION and Virtuozzo, the company said, is that it will allow IT managers to immediately begin a server consolidation project without modification of existing applications or retraining of staff.
"With thousands of legacy servers running early WinNT and UNIX OS still in production at corporate IT departments and degrading service levels, IS managers are faced with the challenge of upgrading this legacy infrastructure without incurring the burden of buying new boxes for each one of those obsolete servers as well as high management costs," said Serguei Beloussov, CEO and founder of SWsoft.
