📅 September 25, 2003 - BT (bt.com) announced today that its business services and solutions division BT Global Services has been named as a "leader" in Gartner's (gartner.com) 2003 Pan-European Web Hosting Magic Quadrant.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is Gartner's analytical portrayal of the hosting market place.
Gartner's evaluation is based on "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision." Factors considered included account performance, product and pricing strategy, technology exploitation, financial and corporate stability, and others.
"As this research illustrates, customers' top priorities when it comes to choosing a hosting provider should include flexible service provision, reliability and financial stability," said Catherine Hawley, senior vice-president of applications management and hosting at BT Global Services. "We believe BT offers all three. We've been a key player in the hosting market for more than 20 years and this latest evaluation is confirmation that our long-term strategy has paid off. The increasing awareness of business continuity and continued drive towards e-business means that fundamental demand for hosting is still strong, and this remains an important activity supporting BT's ICT strategy."
Gartner's Pan-European Web Hosting Magic Quadrant covers all providers of business Web hosting services, including those offering server co-location, shared and fully managed Web hosting.
